As most of you know our initial negotiations efforts with AHCA thru which we obtained "Retention Payments" for Adult Day Center in the State of Florida came crashing down after the announcement from the Agency that The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has issued guidance limiting provider retainer payments to no more than three 30-day periods. This meant that eligible home and community-based providers offering services through the iBudget waiver and Long Term Care Program could not receive retainer payments for more than three months.
This meant that we had to go back to drawing boards and start negotiations all over again. Our ongoing efforts led us to have 2 more meetings with AHCA leadership department. We are pleased to announce that the Agency recognizes the vital role that our day programs in play in the Aging & Disabled Population and our State economy. We are currently looking for alternative ways to serve our participants during this Crisis and will have good news soon.

We stand with you, the offer is ridiculous, in the long run it will harm ADC social purpose, we need to protest, and reject this scam the MCO’s are offering.
